    Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT aims to help people become aware of when they make negative interpretations, and behavioral patterns which reinforce distorted thinking and negative self-talk. Cognitive therapy helps people to develop alternative ways of thinking and behaving which aims to reduce their psychological distress and improve their overall perspective of themselves.

    Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an effective treatment for people who struggle to manage their emotions, stress, relationships and impulsive behaviors. DBT combines cognitive behavioral therapy, distress tolerance skills, emotional regulation skills, interpersonal relationship skills, and mindfulness practice. It is based on a bio-social theory that problems develop from the interaction of biological/physiological makeup and environmental factors, which together, create difficulty managing emotions. DBT  takes a compassionate view, accepting you for who you are while helping you change and work towards “life worth living goals”.
